Elrena holds an MFA from The Pennsylvania State University, and is co-editor of Mama, PhD: Women Write about Motherhood and Academic Life (Rutgers) and author of a short story collection, This Crowded Night (Cascadia). She has also written for Christianity Today, Books & Culture, American Bible Society, Literary Mama, Brain, Child: The Magazine for Thinking Mothers, The Mudroom, and elsewhere.
