April Is Autism Awareness Month
April is Autism Awareness Month, and Cinema Libre Studio has just released Too Sane for This World, a beautiful little documentary that gives voice to a dozen adults with different types of autism. This is the first film of its kind, allowing neurodiverse people to share their experiences—from discovering they were on the spectrum, to bullying, to finding meaningful work and the challenges in interacting with the neurotypical world.
Directed by William Davenport, the film was shot and edited with a mostly autistic crew, and the DVD includes a bonus music video by one of the subjects, Robyn Steward, and Mark Tinley (formerly of Duran Duran).
Too Sane for This World is a celebration of diversity and courage, and it will delight and inspire you!
